Collexo presently supports five distinct Fee Types within its workflow, designed to address a variety of use cases effectively. One of the fee types is "Applicant Input Amount."
Applicant Input Amount
This will allow your customers/applicants to enter the amount of their choice in an open input field on the checkout page, allowing applicants to specify the amount they wish to pay. This fee type is ideal for situations such as collecting donations or fundraising, where the payment amount is flexible and can be determined by the applicant.
How does Applicant Input Amount Work?
While creating a new workflow, you need to specify the fee type, which will adjust the subsequent fields and requirements accordingly. If “Collect Fee Type” is selected as Applicant Input Based, make sure to define the following fields:
- Select Currency: Choose from 10 available currencies. While selecting currency make sure the selected currency is supported by the Payment Gateway that you will be using.
- Select Fee Head: Choose a fee head from the dropdown list. All available fee heads created under "Base Fee Heads" will be displayed in this dropdown.
- The fee head selected here will be the one against which the applicant makes the payment on the checkout page. This means that the amount entered by the applicant will be mapped to this specific fee head.
- The eligible applicant will be able to enter their desired amount on the checkout page and proceed with the payment.
